Contrary to popular belief, you can have it all. And by all, I mean a thriving career, fulfilling relationships, and resilient mental and physical health. How? By building the healthiest version of you, with longevity, not quick fixes or fads in mind.
This doesn't mean you will be perfect everyday. Far from it. But you will learn how to balance periods of intensity and periods of relative rest so that you can live a fulfilling and bold life.
When it comes to building the healthiest you, the pursuit of longevity will pay dividends. But longevity doesn't mean sacrificing ambition. In fact, your drive may be the reason you can achieve your most fulfilling life, full stop.
You know you can't pour from an empty cup, so I am here to give you permission to stop trying to be everything to everyone and instead, put yourself first for once and watch your success compound.
If you are anything like I was, productivity is your personality type and success is your scorecard for a life well lived. Historically, your success has come at the expense of your health and your personal life. And with every goal you achieve, your first instinct is to think, "what's next?" instead of celebrating what you have accomplished.
But it doesn't have to be this way.
Putting myself first wasn't always something I embodied, in fact, the reason this resource hub even exists is because I was stuck in the rat race, sacrificing sleep, nutrition, and social time to get one more step ahead. And to be honest, that worked great, at least temporarily.
And while the constant grind got me to a level of unprecedented success and achievement, all it took was one forced halt for it to all come crashing down. What I didn't realize at the time was the years of grinding would lead to even more years of physical and mental damage that would not be easy to reverse.
It was only when my body rebelled and finally forced me to slow down I redefined what success meant to me. I saw another way to chase my ambitions. A way that didn't involve 16-hour work days, followed by daily HIIT sessions, double days with personal trainers, and additional cardio in between. A way that didn't involve eating a decently healthy breakfast and letting it fall apart for convenience meals later on. A way that didn't neglect sleep for just one (or four) more hour(s) of work.
But, if I'm being honest, even when I no longer recognized myself in the mirror and my body was literally screaming at me to stop, giving up this lifestyle wasn't easy. Why? I thought this was the only way to achieve success. Spoiler - I was wrong.
Now in my early 30s, I am so grateful for what I endured in my mid-late 20s. It may not have been easy, but it has truly transformed who I am and how I live my life. Here's my quick take:

GRAB THE GUIDE
As a neuroscientist, I can't help myself but start with the brain. We only have one brain and we need to take care of it. Everything else stems from there.

Creating lasting change and habits that stick can be overwhelming. And often times the hardest part is just knowing how and where to start. Here at Balanced and Bold, I aim to simplify the process so you can spend more time applying new habits and tools instead of looking where to even begin.
